Xichang - Energy Case study
Information about Xichang
Located in the southwest of Sichuan Province, the capital of the Liangshan Yi Autonomous Prefecture, Xichang, is more than 400 kilometers from Chengdu. Featuring little rainfall all year round, the area has attracted the Chinese aerospace industry to position a launch center here. Travelers to the area can also visit Qionghai Lake and Mount Luojie. The Yi Torch Festival is also a traditional attraction for visitors.

Organisation and Institutional Set-up of Energy Saving Plan of Xichang City
The Organizational structure of the Chinese energy planning institutions at municipal level and their cooperation and identification opportunities for integrating environmental aspects will be analyzed. The analysis will be done in parallel with Energy case study institutional and organizational analysis and will be integrated in one final outcome. The recommendations for EPI application and organisational and institutional set-up will be produced.
